Our Story
Skeledog is an apparel brand that draws dog breeds as original skeletal line art and prints them on t-shirts, hoodies and magnets. It launched in 2007, was featured in TODAY's holiday pet gift guide on December 16, 2008, and relaunched in 2026 at skeledog.com from its original artwork archive.

2007: the original Skeledog
Skeledog started in 2007 with one idea: show people the breed they love, right down to the bones. The shirts were sold in pet shops and design shops around the world, from design boutiques in New York City to small pet stores in Tokyo, and they earned unpaid write-ups in dog magazines.
December 16, 2008: as seen on TODAY
Pet style expert Dara Foster picked Skeledog shirts for her holiday pet gift guide on NBC's TODAY and called them a guaranteed conversation starter. Watch the segment on YouTube.
The long nap
In 2007, running a t-shirt business meant printing, stocking and shipping everything by hand, and the grind eventually wore down the small Skeledog team. The artwork went into the archive for almost 20 years. People kept asking the founder to bring it back.
2026: the relaunch
Print-on-demand changed the math. In 2026, Skeledog relaunched from the original artwork archive, breed by breed and bone by bone, starting with the shirts. More product categories are planned.
What makes Skeledog different
Most dog apparel pastes a photo of a dog onto a shirt. Skeledog takes the same love for a breed and pairs it with real design: original skeletal line art, playful designer-chosen color and crisp branding. Each breed design comes in a color scheme picked for the breed's character, color theory and the overall Skeledog look. The result works for devoted breed owners and for design-minded people who have never owned a dog.
