Road Renegades

We have almost recovered from our marathon roadtrip to Brooklyn for the Renegade Craft Fair, and the blogs are confirming that all that driving was well worth it. Not only did we get featured on the Renegade Flickr site, we got a mention on American Craft magazine’s blog! This one called us a highlight of the festival.

As usual, we made lots of new friends, both human and canine, and collected votes and inspiration for our next litter of skelepups. This German Shorthair Pointer would look sharp in an x-ray point.

These folks loved Porties before Porties were presidential.

The spectacular weather and Williamsburg location made this one of our most successful festivals so far.  Thanks to everyone who came by our booth last weekend to share a story about their favorite breeds! We can’t think of a better way to start our summer.

New breeds are here!

This week we’re welcoming 3 new Skeledogs to the pack: The Boston Terrier, The Boxer and The Pug! These were by far our most requested breeds, so chances are good you already know a Boston, Boxer or Pug fanatic who needs this t-shirt. Or you could be like me and just keep these tees on constant rotation because the colors are hot. Either way.

No sleep til…

We’re on our way to McCarren Park, baby! On June 6th and 7th, Skeledog will be slinging shirts from lucky booth #14. Meanwhile, we are ferociously preparing to debut our 3 newest pups: the Boston Terrier, Pug and Boxer!

If you’re any where near Brooklyn, you don’t want to miss the Renegade Craft Fair. Seriously. I loved shopping at this festival long before we conceived of printing dog skeletons on t-shirts. Hope to see you and all your furry friends in attendance!

The Original German Tunnel Machine

This is Sasha. He’s a German engineer, posing in front of a gigantic TBM, or Tunnel Boring Machine that’s currently being refurbished for some serious tunneling in Atlanta. My Dad has been working with the team from Herrenknecht Tunneling Systems from Schwanau, Germany and he thought it would be cool to present them with a unique local souvenir– Skeledog tees!

He chose Dachshunds, of course. They all seemed to appreciate the fine engineering of the original tunneling hound!

The no-brainer uniform of rockstars

Wardrobe dilemma for your next band gig? We were delighted to see our Great Dane among 8 designer tees showcased in Paste Magazine’s feature “The Great American T-Shirt.” Check out their May 2009 issue for more stylish “uniforms” for “the fashionista and the metalhead alike.”

Hometown Coverage

We were thrilled to spot our skele-poodle in the Easter Sunday edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. We were featured on the Style page in practically the same breath as Karl Lagerfeld and Lilly Pulitzer. Long live the newspaper!

Bklyn dogs

I know it’s been quiet lately in Skeledogland… we’ve been hunkered down, drawing new dogs, chatting up retailers and plotting our strategy for the festival season (i.e. t-shirt season!). Well, Spring has officially sprung here in Atlanta and yesterday we got the good news that we’ve been accepted as a vendor in the Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair!

This is a humongous, juried festival featuring hundreds of clever, homegrown brands. The event takes place on June 6th and 7th in McCarren Park (which is sweet, because when we lived in Brooklyn, we spent lots of time in that park, jealously watching other people’s dogs frolic as we debated the virtues of each breed. aw.)

Renegade Chicago was a blast, so we’re thrilled to take part in this crafty blowout. Can’t wait to see you and your furry friends in Brooklyn!

The New Barker

The New Barker, Tampa Bay’s “Top Dog Magazine,” featured Skeledog in its Winter  issue. I guess Tampa Bay has t-shirt weather year round!

Mutual Appreciation Society

We’re big fans of Decatur-based Paste Magazine (their sampler CDs are on heavy rotation here at Skeledog HQ). So imagine our delight to discover that they’re fans of us! Paste included Skeledog in a roundup of “Eight Funky Fauna Finds.” How nice to be featured among such fine animal art!

New Year’s Sugar

We were excited to see we topped PetSugar’s list of January must-haves. 2009 is looking good already!
